When the Scales Don't
Budge
I’m so thankful for everyone who has been posting on
the message boards. It’s good to know I’m not in
this alone!
After three weeks of faithfully exercising an hour a day --
five times a week -- and eating about 1200 calories a day, I’ve
lost a total of five pounds. The problem is those five pounds
were all from the first week! Since then the scale hasn’t
budged.
Right now I’m trying to take some comfort in the fact
that my energy level is better and I’m also making progress
in my fitness routine. When I first started exercising, I could
only do three minutes on the elliptical machine. Now I can do
a full 30 minutes!
But I still want the scales to move! Someone suggested eating
more protein and less carbohydrates, so I’m trying that
this week.
The scripture that keeps going through my mind is Galations
6:9, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due
season we shall reap, if we faint not." (KJV)
Perserverance is a powerful principle, one I plan to put into
practice this week.
To share how you're doing this week, log
on to the message board.
