The worship team from Antelope Christian Center in Roseville,
Calif, recently wrote an entire album of worship songs to distribute at this
year's Olympic Games in Athens.
Antelope Christian Center is a small congregation of only about 500 to 600,
yet they managed to raise the nearly $10,000 needed to fund this inspiring
project.
"We had a wonderful opportunity to visit Athens, Greece, earlier this
year," says Antelope's Worship Pastor John Macdonell. "While we
were there on business ministering, a gentleman saw the worship CD that we
were distributing [called In
His Presence II]. He provided us the opportunity, working with the
International Olympic Committee and Flame, to distribute 12,000 worship CDs
during the Olympics."
Senior Pastor Bill Clements believes this was divine intervention.
"On every single CD, we put a PowerPoint presentation about rebuilding
broken lives. We want to also be able to communicate that message around the
world and share what God is doing in Athens today," says Clements.
It took six months for the choir and band to perfect the CD. Now they have
a product that will help witness to thousands of people.
For changing people's lives around the world, The 700 Club salutes
you, Antelope Christian Center in California.
