CBN.com Following surgery on my nose for cancer, I have returned to work this week after several weeks at home and am healing although I'm not ready for prime time yet. The doctors found that the cancer was more invasive than they had originally diagnosed, but the scar seems to appear less. We’ll see. They did get it all. I wear a small bandage, which hopefully I can remove next week.
Thanks for the prayer and concern although some people show their concern in strange ways. Of course I have strange friends!
From S.T.: God bless ya, Scott. I'm so happy for you, and I will pray for Nedra (Ross). Sometimes people with as much personality as you find it difficult to be still. Looking forward to your complete recovery.
From J.W.: Oh my goodness, it’s Phantom of the Scott-pera! I’m so glad you’re in the healing process… In the meantime, get well, and don’t watch too many episodes of the O.C.
From P.B.: Actually, that picture gives you an air of mystery. Perhaps you should use it for future PR shots? Seriously, wonderful to hear the news. And you are correct about cancer... it's a thief with no conscious. Glad to hear you beat the sucker!
From J.G.: Tell Nedra that she can always put you in a room and close the door.
From D.M.: Your comments about cancer as a thief reminded me what our friend E. Stanley wrote in the Unshakable Kingdom: “So every revolt against the Kingdom has the doom of defeat and decay written on it.” Cancer cells are normal contributive cells turned selfish. They refuse to serve the organism and demand that the organism serve them. So they break the law of the Kingdom – Loving your neighbors as you love yourself. The cancer cells may proliferate in the beginning [but] have the doom of their own ruin upon them.
From B.B.: I guess this means your "return to radio" career is on hold. P.S. All the tech guys said, go rent The Elephant Man while you're recuperating. What are friends for?
From S.N.: I'm still praying for you continue to be one of the beautiful people.
From G.T.: I'm so glad to hear the good news, and six weeks of rest never hurt anyone. If you need any more skin, let me know, my brother. Might even be an improvement!
From R.M.: Glad to hear of your successful surgery. Now you're the Phantom of CBN!
From G.R.: You might actually have enough character to be a Harley rider when this surgery is all done. Not just another pretty face on a Kawaskayamahondo, whatever! Keep the faith Bro.
From M.P.: Sooner you get healed up, you can get back to work and put your nose to the grindstone…oh yeah…you just did that.
From F.J.: You are in our thoughts and prayers this week. "I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!" (Psalms 116:1-2).
Scott Ross appreciates your feedback.
A caring friend will be there to pray with you in your time of need.
