“I was at the end of my rope; honestly, I didn’t know if I was gonna make it.”
Jim Forystek is a man who is serious about physical fitness. In fact, he had just written a fitness book when crushing chest pain left him unable to breathe normally—and unable to exercise. He asked his son to pray for him.
“I said “John, I need a miracle,” Jim remembers. “And my son John put his hands on my head and he said, ‘By His stripes we are healed, I claim your healing in Jesus’ name.’ I just picked up the channel changer and I turned on the television set and CBN, The 700 Club, was on, and there was Gordon, instantly saying, ‘There’s a man out there who has a pain in his left chest. It’s in the upper part of his left lung; I want to let you know it’s not going to spread to your right lung. I want to let you know, God’s healing you at this time.’ Instantly I was healed. My lung was perfect, I took a deep breath, I looked at my son and I said, Hallelujah! That’s mine.”
Since that day…
“Because of that, I’ve noticed The 700 Club,” continues Jim. “And not only are they interested in bringing the gospel to the world, but in the disasters they’re the first ones to help. And not only are they just there to pray for people, but they’re the ones buying chainsaws to cut the trees. They’re the ones putting up the food kitchens to feed the hungry. And The 700 Club brings healing, the gospel, and physical help, right where the rubber hits the road, where people need it.”
Jim and his wife prayed about it. He shares, “We decided right then and there that we are going to support The 700 Club from now until Jesus comes.”
Since joining The 700 Club, Jim has seen a difference in other areas of his life as well. He says, "The more I give the more I see God gives back to me. And my business has changed, it’s grown, it’s broadened its horizons. When I see the works of The 700 Club, helping the world, I am refreshed inside knowing that I have a part in their work. And again, I just thank The 700 Club. It’s awesome!”
