CBN.com "How I would fund my child’s private education, or how I would save for their college education. This used to consume me," Steve Leondis says.

His wife Lynn adds, "He had an issue as the provider worrying about college tuitions [and] weddings."

Steve was a successful businessman but worried all the time about money. He says, "Before I found the Lord, I would be very concerned of every dollar that would leave my checkbook — to be sure that one way or another I would get it back."

Steve and Lynn went to church and even gave offerings.

"It was always more out of obligation," Lynn says, "or just putting a few dollars in when the basket came around."

That all changed when Lynn started watching The 700 Club and learned about tithing. She says, "I didn’t have any knowledge of biblical tithing until Pat started to teach on it from Malachi."

Lynn shared what she learned with Steve. He recalls, "That really put the light on in my head and really started to make me think in a different way."

The Leondises had been sporadic givers, but they began tithing in earnest and joined The 700 Club at $40 a month.

"The 700 Club is going out and feeding the hungry and taking care of the widow and helping the sick. They’re the hands and feet of Christ, and I wanted to be a part of that. That’s really why we started to become partners with CBN."

Over the last eight years, their giving has increased. They are now members of CBN’s Chairman’s Circle, and Steve is seeing the results of their faithful giving in his air freight business. He says, "Summer of 2008 was when financial markets started to turn south. Our business remains so strong. 2008 was an excellent year; 2009 again as economies faltered. Our business actually prospered and did well. I have to believe that the Lord remained faithful to me. We’re trying to remain very faithful to God and to see Him bless us back by keeping our business and our personal finances and everything strong and secure. You can only say it’s the Lord."

Lynn agrees, "Step out in faith. Trust God. I know people hold their money because they’re fearful of the future and the rainy day and college, but you know what, when you trust God, He is so faithful. We feel the more that we give to others, it blesses us. We feel such joy when we can be a blessing to someone else. So, you’re really blessing yourself when you give."

Steve and Lynn saw the rewards of applying the law of reciprocity – "Give and it shall be given to you" – by giving to CBN. Here is your chance to give to the Lord and see your dollars bring truth to hurting people; feed and clothe needy children; keep the 700 Club Prayer Counseling Center phone lines operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and provide medical care to those who need a tangible touch of God's love.
