CBN.com -- There was only one thing that Nophan wanted in life to have — a family.
Her challenges began when she was only one. Her mother abandoned her and her father raised her until he died in a motorcycle accident. Nophan was only eight at the time. She went to live with an uncle for awhile, but he was too poor to keep her and she had to drop out of school.
“I knew that I was an orphan and wondered who would take care of me,” Nophan recalls.
So Nophan came to live at a home for children sponsored by CBN’s Orphan’s Promise.
She says, “I was actually looking forward to coming here. I was not scared. The other kids helped me feel at home right away.”
That has made all the difference for Nophan. With her new brothers and sisters and new house parents, she feels like part of a family.
“It’s beautiful here. I have found my home and my family at last.”
Nophan is back in school. She eat three meals a day and shares a beautiful bedroom with her new friends — a room decorated thanks to another special gift from Orphan’s Promise.
“Thank you to the people who helped make this happen. Thank you, CBN!”
