| SINGLE SCENEThe Water Girl SpeaksBy Cindy BracyGuest Writer

 CBN.com After
reading my husband's article, I think it is necessary to set the record
straight. Let's go back to that water fountain. It is true that I did run ahead
of him and I did hold the button down, but only so that the water would
splash him in the face. I had no romantic interest in Bill at that time.
Actually, I thought that this charming and witty man would be a good match
for one of my close friends. Looking back, Bill was wise not to share his God-given revelation with me
right away. Otherwise this story might have had a different ending. If he
had told me, "God told me you are the one that I am supposed to marry," he
might have scared me off. Many of my Christian friends have bemoaned how otherwise
normal, intelligent men have suddenly gone brain dead when it comes to sensitive
issues like love and romance. But not Bill. In God's good time, after a lot of roses and Pillsbury lemon blueberry bundt
cakes, I realized that this was God's choice for me. As a little girl, I always hoped that my future mate would bring me roses.
Without knowing my heart's desire, Bill continually showered me with beautiful
homegrown roses from his garden. God spoke to my heart through that act of
kindness. And he brought me those wonderful bundt cakes. They say that the way to a
man's heart is through his stomach. Well, women like to eat, too! In fact,
the very first present I ever received from Bill was a rolling pin. One day
he noticed that I was rolling out pie dough with a coke bottle. The next day
when I went to my car, there was a lovely note attached to a rolling pin.
I thought, This guy is hungry, but he is practical. And there was the time when I was working on my car, greasy hands and all,
that he pulled up with a cake and flowers for me. All these things, combined with much prayer, soon turned my thoughts to marriage--not
for one of my friends, but for me. Even though he claims to have had "cold
feet," this "better marry than to burn" bachelor and I were united in holy
matrimony two years later. So if you're looking for Mr. Right, remember that the God who numbers the
hairs of your head can guide you to your perfect match.
