New HSM3 DVD Takes Fans Behind the Scenes

- Since its release last October, High School Musical 3: Senior Year has made more than 90 million dollars in box office sales. That’s just a glimpse of the craze that the East High Wildcats has sparked among young fans worldwide. Now, they can treasure this last installment by getting a copy of the newly released DVD.
Sing and Laugh with the Cast
Not only will fans love being able to see the film again and again, but they also get extras on the HSM3 Extended Edition DVD. One of the most popular bonus features is sure to be the “Sing Along”. Singing fans will definitely enjoy a little High School Musical 3 karaoke. The DVD also features the choice of watching the movie with song subtitles to tunes such as “Night of Nights”, “Now or Never”, “High School Musical,” and others.
And who doesn’t just love bloopers? This new DVD holds the secret footage of mistakes cast members made throughout production. Hilarious clips include Zac Efron trying out some of his own moves, a couple of dance mishaps, the goofy antics of Lucas Grabeel (who plays Sharpay’s brother, Ryan), background distractions on the set, and so much more. It’s like getting your own Disney backstage pass and being right there on the HSM 3 set.
Fans will also get a glimpse at clips that were left on the cutting room floor. The deleted scenes feature holds the key to the scenes that just didn’t make it to the movie, including more Sharpay moments and a longer introduction to the romantic tree top scene between Troy and Gabrielle. As usual, the director and creative team were right on the money in cutting these from the movie. Good choice on each. Still, it’s nice to see what was shot that didn’t make the final cut.

It doesn’t end there either. Go behind the scenes as cast and crew talk about the shooting the Prom scenes, “Night of Nights” with its intense choreography and romantic waltz, and “It’s All in the Dress” when the girls and the movie’s costume designer talk prom dresses.
Cameras also take you into the mix as cast mates Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Monique Coleman, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, and others say their final goodbyes. You’ll see the teary farewells as the director calls “That’s a wrap!” Interviews with the cast reveal the parallels between their characters moving on beyond high school and their lives as they say goodbye to this project and each other. For these Wildcats, it was the final year, “the end of a trilogy”, as director Kenny Ortega says.
This is a family-friendly and fun movie to give your HSM fan on DVD. Be sure to get them the extended edition so they can relish in the behind-the-scenes footage, take advantage of the DisneyFile Digital Copy of the movie (which allows you to upload the movie to your iPod or compuer), and sing along with their favorite characters.
Warning: You may experience fatigue and fits of frustration if you’re kids love HSM because they will want to sing these songs over and over and over again.
