2011 Dove Award Nominations

CBN.com – NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 42nd Dove Awards is moving South, to Atlanta, Ga. The nominees for this year's top awards were announced last Wednesday. Chris Tomlin and TobyMac lead the pack with six nominations. New solo artist Jason Crabb has five nominations, one for Artist of the Year. Atlanta-based rock group Third Day has four nods, one for "Lift Up Your Face" in the Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and another for Move in the Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year category. MIKESCHAIR, Matt Maher, and Francesca Battistelli also garnered four nominations each.
This year's host is The View's Sherri Shepherd and will be filmed at Atlanta's historic Fox Theater. The Christian music awards night is set to air on gmc on Easter Sunday, April 24 at 7 p.m., EST.
