Praying Women Going Global With International Conference
“Sisters of Esther” in South Korea are inviting international praying Christian women to three days of prayer and fasting August 21-24. The Conference will convene at Osan-Ri Prayer Mountain near the capitol city of Seoul, with accommodations for 10,000.
Electronic panoramas of global prayer conditions are being arranged as prayer incentives, according to coordinator Ben Jennings. These visual surveys will cover Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe, and the Americas.
Preview scenes from the soon-to-be-released women's version of the Jesus Film are being developed for Conference screening.
A major portion of the program is scheduled for Korean style praying -- audible, simultaneous, free.
The stated objectives of the Conference are:
1. To pray for world crises;
2. To equip a new generation of women prayer warriors; and
3. To expand international prayer networks for the Great Commission of Christ.
Drs. Vonette Bright and Joon Gon Kim are co-chairmen of the Conference. “Natural disasters, political turmoil and the situation in Iraq need concerted efforts of prayer and fasting,” Dr. Kim recently declared. “Dr. Kim is a modern Mordecai,” says Dr. Bright. “He is calling women of prayer (Esthers) together 'for such a time as this.’”
Passports are required for all international travelers.
