Hello all,
Well, Nedra and I returned home to Nedra’s appearance on The 700 Club with Pat Robertson, followed by a local radio interview, streamed nationally (I will post that interview for you to listen to sometime this next week). Then we made an appearance at Regent University addressing a number of students in the School of Communication.
Just a reminder: VH1 is re-airing a two-hour cut down version of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony throughout the week.
I am in the process of attempting to acquire Nedra’s entire induction speech. It was masterful, and I am not just talking as her husband. Numerous people who attended the event and many e-mails use words like, elegant, articulate, heart rending, etc. in describing her comments. A number of people said Nedra had them in tears.
And then there were all the comments on Nedra’s dress, designed by her cousin, Christopher Whitehead. Incidentally, Christopher also designed Michael Jackson’s “glitter glove” from the Thriller album era.

More news and reflections to come in the weeks ahead.
We want to thank so many of you for your encouragement, support, and prayer; it was essential in making this time an event we will savor for years to come.
Honor was given to whom honor was due.
