People Magazine has called Joey Green “the Pantry Professor.” He’s also been called “the Guru of Weird Uses for Brand-named Products.” He has written several books on alternative uses for well-known, household products. He receives letters and e-mails everyday from people telling him about their cleaning dilemmas.
Joey says that though these problems may seem impossible, their solutions are really quite simple. Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore or a lot of work – it can be fun. Also, you don’t have to run to the store to buy cleaning products. The products you need to clean are probably already in your house, and they can do the job just as well with not a lot of effort. Joey wants to show people how they can save time and money.
Cleaning Magic is Joey’s 10th book that features products being used for purposes other than their original design. When Joey started doing research, he was amazed at how many ways there were to use club soda. It became his quest to find all of these types of uncommon cleaning solutions. As a public service, Joey decided to put them in one extensive sourcebook. Joey’s research is a compilation of what he found in the public library, information he obtained from product companies, and his own at-home product testing. He found more than 2,500 cleaning tips using more than 200 brand-name products, like using Efferdent denture tablets to clean a scorched pot and touching up a chip bathroom sink with Liquid Paper Correction Fluid.
