New Jersey Church Offers Drive-Thru
Christmas

You’ve heard of drive-thru restaurants, car washes,
and even pharmacies, but have you ever heard of a drive-thru Christmas
story?
Sayre Woods Bible Church in Old Bridge, New Jersey, has been
telling the Christmas story using the drive- thru for 21 years.
From the convenience of your own car, you can experience 10 scenes
from Christ’s life, from his miraculous birth to his resurrection.
Roxanne Tauriello directs the cast of 700 – not to mention
live animals! She started the program to reach the community with
the gospel.
"The drive-thru reaches multitudes of people who’ve
never stepped in church with the message of Jesus Christ,"
says Roxanne.
Everyone is given a cassette that guides them through the different
scenes. And to make sure people don’t forget what they’ve
seen and experienced, the church passes out Christian literature.
"We are more than happy to provide them with a Bible,"
says Joe Douglass, the pastor at Sayre Woods.
The production costs the church close to $6,000, but knowing
that the church is reminding people of the real meaning of Christmas
makes it all worthwhile.
