The Road to Pop Stardom

– It might look like the popular TV show American Idol, but look again! Road to Life Church in St. Joseph, Michigan, is producing their own version -- called “Voice of Choice”.
Several hundred people showed up for their chance at stardom. Youth Pastor Dave Gargano knew this would draw in a big crowd.
Local judges narrowed the competition down to 18 contestants. Every Sunday and Wednesday night for several weeks, the performers entertained the youth as they competed for the grand prize.
The grand finale brought excitement from the fans -- as well as the contestants.
Some weren’t here just to entertain, but to minister to others as well.
The judges had a hard time narrowing down their decision. Beneda, who worked with Stevie Wonder for 10 years, said there was some stiff competition.
And the winner is... Sarah Bauers who sang “Bridge over Troubled Waters”.
