CBN.com – They’re taking their S.W.A.T. team to the streets and their making an impact.
Redemption World Outreach Center in Greenville, South Carolina, is taking the church outside the four walls. Every week they’re S.W.A.T. ministry, which stands for Sidewalk Action Team, brings out lots of fun, games and food for the kids to enjoy. Most importantly they bring the message of Jesus.
Pastor Ron says, “It allows us to have a week by week presence. In other words we’re doing the big events, but after that we’re going to be right back next week, working in those communities. We want them to know that we want a relationship with you and not make a project out of you.”
Director of the S.W.A.T. ministry Hakser Hudgens grew up in this area. He’s built relationships with these kids and their families and he knows where they’re hurting. He says you don’t have to go to LA to see homeless people digging in trashcans for their next meal.
