Module 2 - Part 1: The Law of Reciprocity
Reflection Questions
- Why do you think The Law of Reciprocity is considered such an important law of God's Kingdom?
- Do you think it is hard to give when there is nothing given to you in return? Knowing that God rewards a cheerful giver, does that help you see giving differently? Why or why not?
- In light of The Law of Reciprocity, what opportunities might you have right now in your life to begin practicing it?

Instructor's Thoughts
- By following the Law of Reciprocity we are following the example and teaching of Christ as displayed in the Bible.
- When we focus on our fleshly desires it can be very difficult to give without receiving, but when we turn our attention from our desires to God's desires, giving without expectation becomes so much easier if we can imagine how pleased God is with us.
- Perhaps you have a neighbor or coworker with physical or emotional needs that you may be able to assist them in meeting without any desire for repayment. Maybe you have a family member who is difficult to deal with. Try sharing your time to help them with no expectation of reward or even a thank you but knowing you are pleasing God.
