Dear Partner,

       As I write this letter today, I know many of you may be feeling discouraged. Questions about our future as a nation, concerns over terrorism, the decline of morality in America, government scandals, and the uncertainty of our economy can weigh heavily on anyone’s mind.

       But I have good news for you, encouraging news. God is in control. He knows all about your struggles. He knows the burdens you carry, and the concerns of your heart. And, He cares for you. 

       Consider these words: “See I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay all according to their deeds” (Revelation 22:12). This is one of the greatest reasons to be encouraged. Jesus is coming again. He is coming soon. And, when He comes, He will bring a reward to repay you for all you have done.

This is part of the reason I am writing to you today. I want you to have an idea of “your deeds” for the kingdom of God.

       Thank you for the millions of lives you have changed forever through your generous gifts and prayers. I am so grateful for your partnership. And I know beyond all doubt that God will reward you for your faithfulness. Consider the promise from Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for others.”

       These verses will speak against discouragement and remind you of who you are in God’s eyes—His beloved and righteous child. Our heavenly Father promises to go before you, to be with you, to defeat your enemies, to give you your heart’s desire, to never forsake you, and to return from heaven for you.

       In fact, He commands us not to be afraid or discouraged! If we will get our minds focused on His Word, we will find an answer to our fears and discouragement.

       Please read and meditate on these Scriptures. Pray them aloud and ask God to remove any unbelief from your heart and mind. Stand on the Word of God. Claim the Bible’s promises as your own. God will reward your faith—you can be sure of it.

       Here at CBN we care deeply for our wonderful partners. Our commitment is to prepare you for the coming of Jesus Christ. We are here to pray for you, to bring you Christian programs that will build your faith, and to provide you with materials that will enable you to grow in the Lord.

The 700 Club—CBN’s Flagship Program

  • More than 17 million households in America watch The 700 Club at least once each month. On the air continuously since 1966, it is one of the longest-running programs in broadcast history.

CBN Prayer Centers—The Heart of Ministry

  • CBN has more than 350 trained prayer staff based in Virginia Beach and Nashville. Through the first six months of 2013, they processed more than 1.5 million calls from across America and prayed with approximately 29,000 people to receive salvation.
  • Since 1963, prayer teams have answered more than 93.9 million phone calls, with over 1.60 million callers reporting answers to prayer and more than 3.28 million people praying for salvation.
  • CBN serves people around the globe through prayer centers in North America, Latin America, the CIS, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

CBN International Ministry—Sharing the Gospel Around the Globe

  • CBN is reaching an audience of over 265 million in 139 countries and 62 languages.
  • CBN helped establish over 92,900 cell groups, attended by approximately 1.4 million people in the CIS.
  • More than 13,700 water wells have been installed in countries such as India, China, Nigeria, and Peru since 1998, providing life-sustaining water to over 5.4 million people. In 2013 (from January to April), 597 water wells have been built to provide clean water for 135,000 people.
  • Orphan’s Promise, a ministry of CBN, serves in over 50 countries including the United States, giving orphans and other vulnerable children nourishing food, clean water, safe housing, medical assistance, education, life-skills and job training, Christian discipleship, and hope for the future.
  • Since 2002, CBN has provided cleft lip or palate surgeries for more than 8,900 people. In 2013 (from January to April), 191 cleft lip or palate surgeries were provided.

CBN’s Operation Blessing International (OBI)—The Power of Hope

  • Founded in 1978, Operation Blessing International (OBI) has helped more than 255 million people—in all 50 states of the U.S. and more than 100 other countries—providing goods and services valued at over $3.3 billion.
  • OBI’s U.S. disaster relief team has already responded to 3 national disasters this calendar year, including a destructive explosion at a fertilizer plant, Superstorm Sandy, and devastating tornadoes in Texas and Oklahoma.
  • OBI was among the first disaster relief agencies on the ground in the New York/New Jersey area—after Superstorm Sandy hit the Northeast in 2012—providing 18 truckloads of food and living essentials,serving over 14,400 meals to more than 102,000 victims (through May 2013), and sending armies of volunteers representing over 38,000 hours of volunteer service to those in need.
  • As part of the ongoing recovery efforts following the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, OBI has supplied boats to aid struggling fishermen, conducted free eyeglass clinics, and provided tons of relief supplies and equipment benefiting tens of thousands of survivors.
  • In 2012, OBI was named as one of “America’s Top Charities” by Consumers Digest magazine. OBI was among the Top Three Charities in the Humanitarian category with a 98.83% efficiency rating.
  • As of January 2013, OBI’s Hunger Strike Force has delivered more than 1 billion pounds of food and relief products since the program’s inception in 1992.

Superbook® for a New Generation—A Dynamic Outreach to the Children of the World

  • CBN is creating a reimagined Superbook animation series, with the goal of reaching 300 million children around the world with the Word of God. The award-winning team of writers, producers and animators have completed the first 13 episodes—giving an overview of the Bible from Creation to Revelation.
  • The new Superbook series has debuted in Mexico and the Philippines receiving high broadcast viewership ratings. Plans are to air the series in more than 30 languages, covering the globe with the truth of the Bible.

CBN.com—Casting a Worldwide Net

  • CBN.com receives nearly 40 million visits and 430,000 emails a year from people seeking prayer and spiritual encouragement. As of June 1, 2013, CBN.com has responded to an average of 36,000 ministry-related emails per month.
  • CBN.com offers three 24-hour TV channels: CBN Live, CBN Español, and CBN News Channel; as well as CBN Radio, featuring nine stations highlighted by country, praise, contemporary worship, gospel, and Superbook Kids Radio.
  • Nearly 210,000 people are registered members of the myCBN.com online community. From January 1 to June 1, 2013, viewers have watched more than 16.9 million CBN-related videos on CBN.com or on other websites (ex. YouTube). In addition, more than 189,000 people view CBN.com on their cell phones or tablet devices on a monthly basis.
  • Nearly 1 million people engage with CBN content on various social media websites like Facebook and Twitter on a daily basis.
