HOW IT ALL BEGAN
In episode one, Chris, Joy and Gizmo find the Superbook while reluctantly cleaning the attic of Chris' father, Professor Peepers. This premiere journey of the Superbook takes our trio to the Garden of Eden, where they learn that obeying your parents is always the best choice.

Chris blames his failure on a math exam on his father for not helping him with his studies. The Superbook takes our trio to meet up with Cain and Abel where Chris finds out that it's always better to take responsibility for his actions and not to blame others.

THE FLOOD
Chris, Joy and Gizmo visit Noah as he finishes up building the ark. After helping Noah gather two of every animal, the rains start coming down. Waiting on the ark for the land to dry causes Chris and Joy to become very impatient. In the end though, the children learn that it's better to have patience and to persevere through tough times.
Patience and perseverance are important to succeed.
THE TEST
Chris tries to make his father feel guilty for not giving him an allowance; another opportunity for Superbook to teach Chris a lesson, this time about love. The story of Abraham, Sarah and Isaac is used to illustrate this principle. It's through God's test for Abraham of sacrificing Isaac that Chris learns the importance of God being your most important love.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE
Joy is miserable after finding out her superstar hero has just got married. Well, Superbook has just the story to help Joy's perspective. The gang travels back in time to learn the story of Isaac and Rebecca. By following Abraham's steward to Nahor to find a wife for Isaac, and his subsequent return with Rebecca, Joy learns that it's better to wait and be a grown up before getting married.
It's better to marry when you're mature.
JACOB AND ESAU
The children get to experience sibling rivalry at its worst when they meet up with Jacob and Esau. They encounter Esau selling his birthright for food, and Jacob stealing Esau's blessing from Isaac and Esau's subsequent rage that ensued. Thankfully, after years apart, the brothers reunite on good terms. The children take away from this adventure that it's dangerous to deceive.

A DREAM COME TRUE
Superbook takes the gang to a marketplace in Egypt where a group of brothers are having a hard time trying purchase food for their famine-stricken land. Unknown to the brothers, a brother that they had sold into slavery, was now the governor of Egypt. Through some creative involvement with the brothers, Joseph finds that they are truly repentant for what they had done to him and the family reunites. Chris and Joy learn a lesson on brotherly love.
Love your brothers and sisters and always forgive them.
THE MIRACLE ROD
The children travel back in time to Egypt to find baby Moses being put into the River Nile. Moses is then found by an Egyptian princess and adopted, but once he grows up, he's banished to the desert. God speaks to Moses through a burning bush and tells him to lead his people out of Egypt to the Promised Land. The children see the Red Sea parted and Pharaoh's army prevented from reaching the Israelites. Later when water runs out, God shows Moses where water is and the people are saved.
God always helps us.
THOSE AMAZING TRUMPETS
Superbook whisks Chris, Joy and Gizmo back to Israel just before the Israelits enter the Promised Land. Joshua, the new leader ends two scouts to look at Jericho. The scouts are hidden by Rahab who is promised safety when the Israelites take Jericho. Once in front of Jericho, God tells Joshua, to have the people march around the city for seven days making only the noise of their trumpets. On the seventh day, the people give a mighty shout and the walls fall down. The Israelites take the city and save Rahab. Joy, Chris and Gizmo learn that strength and mercy go hand in hand.
The strong are also merciful.
PITCHERS OF FIRE
Superbook transports Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to meet Gideon, who is hiding from the Midianites and Amalekites. God speaks to Gideon and tells him to raise an army to defeat the Midianites. God then tells Gideon to shrink his army so that only those that God wants will be left. With his small army, Gideon defeats the enemy by shouting, and breaking pitchers with torches inside. The children have learned a lesson in that they can do anything, if God directs the plans.
Only God can save us, his plan is best.
SAMSON
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to the city of Gaza where Samson has torn the city apart. Samson's mother tells the children how God blessed Samson even before his birth. Chris, Joy and Gizmo meet Samson at Delilah's house where she is trying to get Samson to tell her the secret of his strength. Finally, Samson tells the truth that if his hair is cut he will be weak. After a cheap haircut, the Philistines capture Samson, blind him and make him grind grain. By the time Samson is taken to a temple festival, his hair has grown, so he finds the strength to destroy the temple and all within. The children have learned a valuable lesson in obedience.
Obedience is virtue.
THE FIRST CHRISTMAS
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back to the first Christmas. There they meet Mary and Joseph, who tells them about Mary's baby that will be born soon. This baby is God's son and will save his people. The children follow Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem where they stay in a stable. When King Herod finds out about the baby, he tries to kill it; but Joseph and Mary escape from him and the baby is safe until King Herod dies. The children have learned the real meaning of Christmas.

MIRACLES OF LOVE
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to see the highlights of Jesus' life. They arrive in Jerusalem at Passover time and see Jesus in the temple talking with the wise men of the temple. The children see Jesus baptized by John the Baptist. Many of the miracles of Jesus are also seen by the children, turning the water to wine and curing sick people. Jesus tells parables and gives the Sermon on the Mount, then miraculously feeds 5,000 people. A great storm comes up and Jesus walks across the water and saves his disciples and their boat. Chris and Joy have learned some of the things that Jesus did that set him apart from other men.
God can do the miraculous.
THE BEST NEWS YET
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to Jerusalem to the time of Passover. There Jesus is entering the city to the acclaim of the people. But the Chief Priest 'is plotting with Judas to do away with Jesus. Jesus is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, tried and crucified. After three days, Jesus comes back from the dead and lives with his disciples for forty-days, after which he is lifted up to heaven. Superbook whisks the children back home where Chris has a surprise; his mother is back from a long time away from home.
You can't keep a great God/man down.
MOTHER'S DAY
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo through the time tunnel to ancient Israel, where we meet Naomi and Ruth. Ruth is going to live in Bethlehem with Naomi. After a hard journey, they reach Bethlehem and go out to the fields to get some free grain. There Ruth meets Boaz, the owner of many fields. After a period of courtship, Boaz asks Ruth to marry him. She consents and they have a happy marriage.
Marriage brings happiness.
THE PATIENCE OF JOB
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to meet Job, a wealthy man of great faith. Job tells the children of his past troubles. Job lost all his crops, livestock and farmhands. Then his sons and daughters were killed when his house was destroyed in a wind, but Job still worshipped the Lord throughout all of these events. Even through great physical ailments, Job continued to worship God. After all this, God restores all of Job's wealth, and doubled it. Job also got seven more sons and seven more daughters.
Trust God.
BIG FISH AND LITTLE FISH
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo on a journey through time to one of the greatest fish stories of all time. Jonah is running away from God by ship, because he doesn't want to convey God's message to Nineveh. Jonah is thrown overboard and swallowed up by a fish. The fish spits Jonah up on shore where he decides to go to Nineveh after all. Jonah tells the people of Nineveh that God- will destroy their city if they don't repent. The people of Nineveh repent to Jonah's surprise and their city is spared.
Obedience is a virtue.
THE FIRST KING
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to ancient Israel where they meet Israel's first King, Saul. While Saul is trying to find some lost donkeys from his father's farm, he meets Samuel. Samuel, the Prophet, tells Saul that he is to be Israel's King. Saul follows Samuel's advice and is crowned King in Mizpah. Saul rules wisely with the help of God.
Trust in God.
THE GIANT KILLER
Superbook and the gang meet David in this episode. While shepherding is father's flock, David is anointed by Samuel as the next King of Israel. David kills Goliath, the giant, with his slingshot. Saul is jealous of the attention that David gets, and forces David to flee for his life. Saul chases David all over Israel, but in the end he and David are reunited.
You should reward good for evil.
SUPERBRAIN
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo to meet King Solomon, David's son. David declares Solomon king in order to avoid having his other son, Adonijah, seize the throne. Solomon prays for wisdom and understanding. Solomon rules the country wisely and exercises wise judgment in difficult matters. Solomon builds a great temple and receives the visitors that come from afar to see him, like the Queen of Sheba.
The best thing to have is wisdom.
A TRUE PROPHET
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to meet Elijah, the Prophet. The children find Elijah being fed by birds, as he is hiding from King Ahab. He is hiding because God has caused a drought in the land due to the King's worship of Baal. Elijah saves a widow's son's life and replenishes her food miraculously. Elijah meets the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel and God triumphs over Baal and ignites Elijah's sacrifice. God then breaks the drought and sends rain.
Faith and trust in God.
FLAMING CHARIOTS
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to meet a great prophet named Elisha. Elisha tells the children how he became a prophet after Elijah went to heaven in a flaming chariot. Elisha cures the Syrian General Naaman, of leprosy. After Naaman is cured, he believes in the God of Israel and will worship him from now on. But even with this, Syria goes to war with Israel. The Syrians send out to an army to capture Elisha, but God sends chariots of fire to protect Elisha and blinds the eyes of the Syrian soldiers. Elisha leads the Syrian soldiers captive to Samaria. The Syrian soldiers are sent back to Syria with their eyesight returned and peace is restored.
Reward good for evil.
THE LION'S DEN
Superbook takes Chris, Joy and Gizmo back in time to meet Daniel, an Israelite, captive in Babylon. Daniel will eat only food that his God allows. After ten days he is healthier than the people that ate the King of Babylon's food. Daniel saved all the wise men in Babylon from being killed by interpreting and telling the King what he dreamed. Later Daniel is the subject of much jealousy. He is thrown in the lion's den for worshipping God, but God sends his angel and keeps the lions from killing Daniel. Moral:With God you can survive any danger.

NEHEMIAH AND THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM
Chris, Joy and Gizmo are accused of being spies and captured. Nehemiah rescues them and invites them to join him on his mission to Jerusalem to rebuild the city's walls. Nehemiah's enemies try to trick him and attack the unprotected city. God intervenes, causing the invaders to become confused and. retreat. Jerusalem's walls are restored, protected by God's promise to Nehemiah.
It is good to trust in God.
THE BEAUTY QUEEN
Haman, the power-hungry prime minister of Persia plots to wipe out all those who won't pay homage to him. He tricks the Persian King into supporting his demand. The beautiful Queen Esther sees through his plot, risking her own life to stand up to the prime minister. Esther's foster-father, Mordecai, was in grave danger of being killed by the Prime Minister's henchmen. In a profound act of love and courage, Esther intercedes for her people to the Persian King. His eyes are opened to the evil plot and he frees the people from Haman's death sentence. Mordecai becomes Prime Minister and a leader of his people.
Do not plot evil for others.
THE MIGHTY CONVERT
Chris, Joy and Gizmo meet Saul of Tarsus, a man who took great delight in waging war on Christians. Saul's encounter with God on the road to Damascus strikes him blind and changes his heart. Saul becomes Paul the Apostle and a friend of Jesus, much to the anger of Paul's old friends. We witness Paul's courage in standing up for what he believes throughout the rest of the video.
No matter how bad you have been, God's love can redeem you.
